Product Introduction
Shin-Etsu KE-20 is a Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) rubber designed specifically for industrial mold-making applications. It features excellent mechanical properties and chemical stability, making it suitable for high-precision molds. The material is stable under normal storage and use conditions but may release harmful gases when heated or exposed to fire, necessitating appropriate safety measures. With an operation time of 5 hours and a curing condition of 205°C/15-40 seconds, KE-20 is ideal for fast production and high-efficiency industrial applications.

Product Special Attributes
Shin-Etsu KE-20 has several unique properties that make it highly effective in industrial applications. Firstly, it is a gray paste with no odor and good thixotropy, making it easy to operate and shape. Secondly, the material has a flash point higher than 94°C, making it a low-volatility product with higher safety during use. Additionally, the viscosity of KE-20 is 77 Pa·s (25°C), allowing it to form a uniform coating on mold surfaces and reduce the occurrence of bubbles and defects. Its relative density of 1.18 (25°C) further enhances its applicability in mold-making. Lastly, the material is stable under normal conditions and does not undergo hazardous polymerization, but it may decompose to produce harmful substances such as silica dioxide and formaldehyde under high-temperature conditions. Therefore, proper ventilation and protection are necessary during use.
